$200.00

4-week course from October 30th - November 20th
Wednesdays, 7:00pm - 9:30pm

Join our 4 week intermediate wheel throwing class and take your pottery skills to the next level! In this class, you will learn a variety of techniques including clay preparation, weighing out the appropriate amount of clay for vessels and lids, throwing low casserole shapes, taller crock styles, and creating matching lids. You will also learn how to make handles and knobs for your vessels, as well as how to use calipers for precise finishing touches.

Our instructor will share tips and tricks for executing your desired vessel shapes, including creating gauges for consistent results. You are encouraged to bring 25 lbs of your preferred clay to class, along with basic throwing tools. Depending on how large you can make pots, you may need more clay at week two. If needed, tool kits are available for purchase. We also offer brown and white stoneware for purchase for those who need it.

At the end of the course, your finished greenware vessels will be fired to bisque and can be taken home for glazing and firing, or you can opt to finish them using our glazes and kiln firing program for an additional fee.

Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your pottery skills and create beautiful, functional pieces in our intermediate wheel throwing class!
