This class is designed for those who want to reconnect with their pottery practice or give their skills a much-needed boost. Whether you’re returning to the wheel after a break or just need a refresh, this beginner-friendly class is the perfect place to start. Our instructor, Lisset Bell, will guide you through the basics of wheel throwing, helping you regain confidence and rediscover the joy of working with clay. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with renewed energy, a reinforced foundation, and a clear path forward.
We’ll spend all four days of this class throwing and will not be glazing any pieces. On the last day of the class we’ll pick our favorites and submit them for bisque. You’re welcome to glaze them when ready and use our firing service after the class ends. Check out our firing cost calculator on our website.
Wear clothing you wouldn’t mind getting dirty and short nails for the best experience. Just bring your throwing tools (communal studio tools will be available as well as beginner tool kits for purchase.)

Instructor Bio
Lisset Bell
Lisset has been chasing clay most of her life, taking every class she could to get access to this resource heavy medium. She has been making colorful pottery from her home studio for two years and is ready to share her passion with the world. Her practice is focused in finding her unique voice by blending sculpture with functionality and classic forms adorned in bright colors and contemporary imagery. She strives to hold on to her Mexican roots and long history of pottery back home while blending it with her distinctly American experience.
