This six week course will introduce the fundamentals of throwing on the wheel. Class begins with the essentials- wedging & learning to properly center – and then builds each student from there. Kay provides excellent hands-on instruction teaching you everything you need to know to become proficient at the potter’s wheel. Class will finish with instruction on surface decoration and glazing techniques. There is ample time to practice through repetition and create a cohesive designed set or you can explore though more iterative, open-ended experimentation. Final work will be available 3-4 weeks after last class.
