Ages 13 years and up are allowed in any of our classes or workshops in the main warehouse space. Memberships are also available for this age group for independent workers.

We do have children’s classes available in our kids room for ages 9-12 years, and they are listed on the website as “Summer Camp”. View all upcoming classes here.

We provide kiln firing services based on the cubic inch measurement of your pieces, and we price at $0.03 per cubic inch. The service is first come first served. At our discretion, due to the size and shape of the vessel, you may need to wait until we can fire it with the same-sized vessel to fire. We do our best to get all work fired between 10 and 14 days from drop off, if not sooner. So long as the work is ready to be fired when it arrives (not wet). The firing cost calculator, where you enter the height, width, and length of your piece, can be found here.
We offer full kiln rentals, located at our studio, and they’re available for a flat rate fee. We have 2 different kiln sizes available for rent on location. Due to efficiency and cost, it is ideal to have a full kiln load. Please contact us directly for information here.
Clay Classes for Beginners is a great choice or any of our one time workshop experiences including Date Night and Social Session Wheel Throwing. Also available for those ready to jump into pottery classes with a little more commitment, we have many multi-week beginner courses which you can view on the calendar here.

This is meant for people who already have studio experience and are expected to be self-sufficient through their day. Expectation is that you will work independently and be responsible for cleaning your workspace.
If you are interested in bringing a group, we do not recommend utilizing a Day Pass. Instead please purchase one day class/workshop tickets. You can also get in touch with us to see if we can accommodate your group outside of previously planned classes listed on our calendar. If you are interested in a studio group or party, please contact us here.
$25.00 for one day includes:

We can accommodate up to 50 people though we like to keep the group size capped around 20. If there is interest in having a larger group we will consider this, however we need plenty of time (at least 1 month’s notice) so we may notify members that the studio will be occupied that day.

Please bring a beginners pottery tool kit, a 2 to 3 quart water bucket, towel, and please review the description of your purchased class for additional items needed.

We will have tool kits for purchase on location upon request, you will need a tool kit as we do not have enough loaner tools to accommodate everyone. Example here.
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. We highly suggest having short finger nails when working with clay. Take off all jewelry.
Please review your schedule and plan accordingly prior to purchasing a ticket for a class or workshop. We do not provide refunds for cancellations and requests to reschedule.
Multi-Week Classes: Unfortunately, if you try to reschedule less than 14 days notice prior to your multi-week class, FCS Clayworks will be unable to issue you a refund, credit or gift card for a future class.
1 Day Workshops and classes: If you try to cancel or reschedule less than 72 hours notice, FCS Clayworks will be unable to issue you a refund, credit or gift card for a future workshop.
With lack of notice, we would be unable to fill your seat, thus losing that opportunity. If you notify FCS Clayworks within the required time, then a Day Pass credit may be issued to you.
Your class or workshop may be moved to another date due to low class attendance. We will do our best to work with your schedule and find a similar date and time. However, FCS Clayworks reserves the right to determine the new date and time.
If you were in a multi-week course, it would be a 10-14 day turnaround. If we can do better than that, we will.
Weekend classes such as Clay Class for Beginners, Social Session, and Date Night, we do our best to uphold a 4 week turnaround (if we can do better than that, we will).

If you have not received a message from your instructor to pick up your item within 4 weeks, then please contact us here.

At this time we cannot accommodate walk-in classes. If you are looking for a one-on-one session, please contact us here.
