Friday Evenings
March 6th - March 20th
6:30-9:00PM
Join us for this three-week class dedicated to creating nested forms. Designed for beginner to intermediate potters, this workshop will enhance your skills on the pottery wheel while also introducing new techniques to create cohesive sets. Class will focus on correct proportions, wall thickness, and the relationships between each vessel in the set.
By the end of the three days, you’ll have a set of nesting bowls and a clearer understanding of how to work at the wheel while developing stronger, more reliable throwing skills. Class will also review various trimming techniques for these forms.
Your finished greenware will be fired to bisque and can be taken home for finishing, or you can opt to complete them using our studio materials (cone 6) and kilns for an additional fee. Students encouraged to bring 50 pounds of their preferred clay and personal tools. We will also have basic tool kits and boxes of clay available for purchase at the studio upon request.
